Expertas en Igualdad de Género nos visitan desde Borgarholtsskóli en Islandia

A la vuelta de las navidades, tuvimos el placer de acoger en nuestro instituto a tres profesoras de nuestro centro asociado en Islandia, Borgarholtsskóli. Las compañeras Unnur Gisladóttur, Hanna Gísladóttir y Hrönn Harðardóttir compartieron una semana con nosotros para observar el trabajo que realizamos en el centro en materia de Igualdad y Diversidad. El lunes 10 de enero las recibimos y tras unas palabras del director visitamos nuestras instalaciones e intercambiamos experiencias con los compañeros Álvaro Molina (Coordinador del Eje de Educación Ambiental y para la Sostenibilidad) y Simón Zamora (Proyecto de Patrimonio). 

On our return from Christmas, we had the pleasure of welcoming three teachers from our partner school in Iceland, Borgarholtsskóli. Unnur Gisladóttur, Hanna Gísladóttir and Hrönn Harðardóttir spent a week with us to observe the work we do, in our school, in the field of Equality and Diversity. On Monday 10th January we received them and after a few words from the Headmaster they visited our facilities and exchanged experiences with our colleagues Álvaro Molina (Environmental Sustainability Education Hub Coordinator) and Simón Zamora (Heritage Project).

El martes 11 de enero, nuestras compañeras nos visitaron por la tarde para atender a una charla sobre la aplicación del protocolo Trans* de nuestro centro, preparada por nuestra compañera Cristina Cores, Coordinadora Zonal de Igualdad, que terminó con la amable cooperación de un alumno de nuestro centro a quien agradecemos enormemente su participación. Finalizamos con una tertulia con las compañeras María Ascención (Censi) Vera Hernández del Eje de Igualdad y Educación Afectivo-Sexual y de Género y María del Cristo Martín Hernández del Eje de Cooperación para el Desarrollo y la Solidaridad que compartieron algunas de las actividades que se realizan a lo largo del curso en nuestro centro. 

On Tuesday 11th, our colleagues visit our school in the evening. They attended a presentation about the application of the Trans* Protocol of our school  prepared by our colleague Cristina Cores, Zonal  Coordinator of Equality. The talk ended with the kind intervention of a student of our school to whom we are sincerely grateful. Our day ended joining María Ascención (Censi) Vera Hernández from the Equality, Sexual-Affective and Gender Program and María del Cristo Martín Hernández from the Cooperation for Development and Solidarity Program. They shared with use the different activities that are carried out  in our school throughout the year.

El miércoles 12 de enero, estuvimos con Rosa María Gómez del Pino, orientadora de nuestro centro, quien preparó una exposición sobre el trabajo del Departamento de Orientación, y visitamos al alumnado de los programas de mejora del aprendizaje, el aula NEAE, la Formación profesional Básica y Adaptada. Finalizamos nuestro día con una visita al aula Enclave donde las compañeras Gloria y Dácil compartieron con nosotros su día a día en el aula y presentaron las diferentes actividades que realizan. Tanto de parte de la coordinación ERASMUS+ como del profesorado visitante, nos gustaría agradecer la colaboración del profesorado y alumnado de las Formación Profesional Adaptada de Jardinería y Administración, de la Formación Profesional Básica, del aula NEAE, PMAR y Aula Enclave por su colaboración y participación en estas jornadas. 

On Wednesday 12th January, we were with Rosa María Gómez del Pino, our school's guidance counsellor, who prepared a presentation on the work of the Guidance Department, and we visited the students of the Learning Improvement Programmes, the SEN, Basic and Adapted Vocational Training classrooms. We ended our day with a visit to the “Aula Enclave - Special Needs Classroom” where our colleagues Gloria and Dácil shared with us their daily life in the classroom and presented the different activities they carry out. We would like to thank the collaboration of the teachers and students of the Adapted Vocational Training in Gardening and Administration, Basic Vocational Training, SEN class, PMAR and “Aula Enclave” for their collaboration and participation in these days from the ERASMUS+ coordination team as well as the visiting teachers.

El jueves 13, asistimos al Taller Afectivo-Sexual que se celebra todos los jueves con el alumnado de la Formación Profesional Adaptada y Aula Enclave donde pudimos comparar cómo se asemejan este tipo de actividades a la labor que realizan las compañeras Unnur y Hanna desde la asignatura de Igualdad de género que imparten en su centro.

On Thursday 13th, we attended the Emotional/ Sexual Relation Workshop that is held every Thursday with the students of the Adapted Vocational Training and “Aula Enclave” where we were able to compare how this type of activity, is similar to the work carried out by our colleagues Unnur and Hanna in the subject of Gender Equality taught at their school.

Finalizamos las jornadas con una visita al IES El Médano, donde Nuria Felipe, de la Jefatura de Estudios adjunta,  nos acogió amablemente, nos mostró su centro y nos permitió conocer los diferentes programas de Formación profesional que se imparten, así como las diversas actividades que se realizan en materia de Igualdad. También visitamos la Formación Profesional Adaptada en Servicios Auxiliares de Peluquería, el Grado Superior de Técnico en Integración Social y el Grado Superior en Técnico en Promoción de la Igualdad de Género. We finished up by paying a visit to the IES El Médano, where Nuria Felipe, from the Head of Studies department, kindly welcomed us, showed us around the school and allowed us to get to know the different vocational training programmes that are on offer, as well as the various activities that are carried out in the field of Equality. We also visited the Adapted Vocational Training for Hairdressing Assistance, the HND in Social Integration and Technician in Promotion of Gender Equality. Aprendemos sobre la Ciudadanía Digital en Estonia YES!

El proyecto Yellow European Stars (YES!) retoma las movilidades físicas del programa Erasmus+. La delegación española partió hacia Estonia el pasado 16 de noviembre con mucha ilusión por compartir esta experiencia con el resto de países. Formada por tres miembros del claustro de profesorado: Diego Sánchez Pérez (Jefe del departamento de Inglés), Cathaysa Barroso (Tecnología) y Ofelia Aguilar (Inglés) y por cinco miembros del alumnado de 2º Bachillerato: Binny Vinod Chainani, Candela Jazmín Gutiérrez González, Federico Di Montefiano, Laura Linares Bello y Stephan Wilhelm Olof Barner Rasmussen dicha delegación representó a nuestro centro formidablemente.

The Yellow European Stars (YES!) project resumes the physical mobilities of the Erasmus+ programme. The Spanish delegation left for Estonia on 16th November with great enthusiasm to share this experience with the rest of the countries. Formed by three members of the teaching staff: Diego Sánchez Pérez (Head of English Department), Cathaysa Barroso (Technology) and Ofelia Aguilar (English) and five members of the 2nd Baccalaureate students: Binny Vinod Chainani, Candela Jazmín Gutiérrez González, Federico Di Montefiano, Laura Linares Bello and Stephan Wilhelm Olof Barner Rasmussen, the delegation, formidably represented our school.

En nuestro primer día de movilidad conocimos a nuestros anfitriones del centro Kuressaare Ametikool y al resto de delegaciones: Croacia, Turquía, Portugal e Italia. Lamentamos que la delegación italiana no nos pudiera acompañar físicamente, pero nos alegramos de poder conocerlos al menos de manera virtual.  Empezamos el día con unas palabras del director del centro y algunas actividades para romper el hielo y conocernos mejor.  Seguidamente, nos dividimos en equipos internacionales para una búsqueda del tesoro que nos permitió descubrir las especialidades que se imparten en este centro de formación profesional y sus pequeños pero maravillosos rincones.

On our first day of mobility we met our hosts from the Kuressaare Ametikool school and the other delegations: Croatia, Turkey, Portugal and Italy. We were sorry that the Italian delegation could not join us face-to-face, but we were happy to meet them at least virtually. We started the day with a few words from the Headmaster of the school and some activities to break the ice and get to know each other better. Then we divided into international teams for a treasure hunt that allowed us to discover the specialisations taught in this vocational training centre and its small, but wonderful settings.  

 Continuamos con la presentación de los distintos productos de las delegaciones que se encargaron de tratar diferentes temas sobre la Democracia y la Unión Europea.  Es necesario destacar la aportación de nuestra delegación con un vídeo que representaba los diferentes retos a los que se enfrenta la Unión Europea. We continued with the presentation of the different products of the delegations that dealt with different topics on Democracy and the European Union. It is necessary to highlight the contribution of our delegation with a video that represented the different challenges faced by the European Union. Mientras el profesorado se reunía para tratar los diferentes aspectos organizativos del proyecto y las próximas movilidades, nuestro alumnado realizaba un taller sobre diseño digital. Finalmente, nos reunimos en una cena de bienvenida organizada por el centro, donde conocimos los trajes regionales de Saaremaa y probamos diferentes platos y postres típicos.

While the teaching staff was meeting to discuss the different organisational aspects of the project and the upcoming learning mobilities, our students were doing a workshop on digital design. Finally, we met at a welcome dinner organised by the school, where we got to view the regional costumes of Saaremaa and tasted different typical dishes and desserts.

En nuestro segundo día, empezamos con una puesta en común en pequeños grupos internacionales sobre los servicios electrónicos disponibles en cada país y el impacto de la Unión Europea. Continuamos con un debate en el que los equipos se enfrentan uno a uno, posicionándose a favor o en contra en temas tan delicados como el voto online o la inmigración. Nos sentimos orgullosos del papel que realizó nuestra delegación durante la actividad. 

On our second day, we started by brainstorming in small international groups on the e-services available in each country and the impact that the European Union has. We continued with a debate in which teams went head to head, taking positions for or against on sensitive issues such as online voting or immigration. We were proud of the role played by our delegation during the activity.

  

Durante la tarde, visitamos el castillo de Kuressaare, hermosa fortaleza medieval donde nuevamente nos dividimos en pequeños grupos internacionales para desentrañar los diferentes secretos de la exposición.

During the afternoon, we visited the Kuressaare Castle, a beautiful mediaeval fortress, where we again divided ourselves into small international groups to unravel the different secrets of the exhibition.

 

 

 El sábado realizamos un recorrido alrededor de la isla de Saaremaa visitando los lugares más emblemáticos. Agradecemos infinitamente a Kihelkonna Kool, otro centro educativo, por acogernos durante el almuerzo. 

On Saturday we went on a tour around the island of Saaremaa visiting the most emblematic places. We are very grateful to Kihelkonna Kool, another educational centre, for hosting our lunch.

 

 

 

Finalmente, el domingo visitamos Tallin, la capital de Estonia, donde nos recibieron para realizar una interesante visita al Parlamento estonio. Agradecemos infinitamente a Urve Tiidus, actual diputada, ex-ministra de cultura de Estonia y ex-alcaldesa de la localidad de Kuressaare por acogernos en un día cerrado al público general. Finally, on Sunday we visited Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, where we were welcomed for an interesting visit to the Estonian Parliament. We are extremely grateful to Urve Tiidus, current Member of Parliament, former Estonian Minister of Culture and former Mayor of Kuressaare, for hosting us on a day that was closed to the general public, and we were fascinated to learn about how the parliament works, especially its online side. Durante la tarde hicimos un viaje en el tiempo al realizar una visita guiada por el casco histórico de Tallin, declarado Patrimonio Histórico de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1997.  Sus orígenes datan del siglo XIII con la edificación de un castillo construido por los caballeros cruzados de la Orden Teutónica. Las edificaciones, especialmente iglesias y casas de mercaderes se han conservado de manera impresionante a pesar de incendios y guerras.  

During the afternoon we took a trip back in time with a guided tour of the historic centre of Tallinn, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. Its origins date back to the 13th century with the construction of a castle built by the crusader knights of the Teutonic Order. The buildings, especially churches and merchants' houses, have been impressively preserved despite fires and wars.

 

 

Finalmente nos despedimos del resto de las delegaciones, a quienes consideramos ya nuestros amigos y amigas. Esperamos impacientes recibirlos en febrero en nuestra isla 💓.

Finally, we bid farewell to the rest of the delegations, whom we already consider our friends. We look forward to welcoming them to our island in February💓.

Ciudades y Comunidades Sostenibles

 Movilidad a Croacia - CreActive! - Noviembre 2021

    Del 6 al 13 de noviembre transcurrió en Croacia, más concretamente en Bedekovcina, la primera movilidad Erasmus+ del proyecto CreActive! tras el confinamiento por la pandemia de covid-19. Tanto alumnado como profesorado de cinco países diferentes se reunieron en esta localidad croata para colaborar juntos en el desarrollo creativo de medidas para concienciar sobre el Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible número 11: Ciudades y comunidades sostenibles. Acudieron representantes de Italia, Islandia, Hungría, España y Croacia, país anfitrión de la movilidad.

The first Erasmus+ mobility of the project CreActive! after the lockdown caused by the  COVID-19 pandemic took place in Croatia, concretely in Bedekovčina, from 6^th to 13^th of November. Both students and teachers from five different countries met in this Croatian city to collaborate in the creative development of measures to raise awareness of Sustainable Development Goal number 11: Sustainable cities and communities. There were delegates from Italy, Iceland, Hungary, Spain and Croatia, host country of the mobility.

    Este año se ha dado la oportunidad a alumnado de 2º de Bachillerato del IES Los Cristianos de realizar las movilidades que tendrían que haber hecho durante el curso 2019-2020. Por ello, Helena Hernández, Marta Martínez, David Toledo, Leyanis Lianet y Daniela Rivero, junto a tres profesoras, Sandra Reyes (Coordinadora del proyecto Erasmus), Pilar González  y María Salcidos (profesoras del departamento de inglés) se aventuraron juntos como representantes del IES Los Cristianos en la vivencia de una experiencia única y enriquecedora.

This year, students of second level of the Upper Seconday School were given the chance to participate in the mobilities that should have been carried out during the school year 2019 – 2020. That’s the reason why, Helena Hernández, Marta Martínez, David Toledo, Leyanis Lianet and Daniela Rivero, and three teachers, Sandra Reyes (Erasmus + project coordinator) Pilar González and María Salcidos (both of them English department teachers) all together embarked on a unique and rewarding adventure.

Sábado día 6 de noviembre:

    Día de comienzo de la movilidad, los ocho representantes del centro se reúnen en el Aeropuerto Tenerife Sur-Reina Sofía para coger el primer vuelo, con destino a Viena. Tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar una noche y una mañana en la capital austríaca antes de viajar a Croacia. Pudimos visitar los exteriores de algunos de los lugares más emblemáticos de Viena, como la Catedral de San Esteban o la Ópera.

     

    The starting day of the mobility, the eight representatives of the Spanish team, meet in Tenerife Sur Reina Sofía Airport to board the first flight to Vienna. We had the opportunity to spend a night and a morning in the Austrian Capital City before travelling to Croatia. We could visit the location spots for  some of Vienna's famous landmarks, such as Saint Stephen Cathedral and the Opera House.

Domingo día 7 de noviembre:

    Tras pasar la mañana en Viena, y posteriormente tomar otro vuelo al mediodía hacia Zagreb nos trasladamos hasta Oroslavje, localidad donde nos hospedamos durante toda la movilidad. Puesto que fue imposible convivir con familias debido a los peligros de contagio por la covid-19, la estancia se realizó en un hotel, junto a las delegaciones de los otros países.

    After spending the morning in Vienna, and after taking another flight to Zagreb at midday, we stayed at Oroslavje, where we remained for the duration of the trip. Since it was impossible to live with families due to the danger of getting infected by COVID-19, we shared a hotel with the delegations from other countries.

Lunes día 8 de noviembre:

    ¡Primer día de actividades! Nos trasladamos al colegio, en Bedekovčina, donde junto con Italia presentamos nuestro proyecto: un Pasaporte Sostenible, una idea que recibió una gran acogida y muchas felicitaciones por parte del resto de delegaciones. 

First day of activities! We moved to the school in Bedekovčina, where the Italian and the Spanish delegations introduced our innovative ideas about Sustainability. Our project was a Sustainable Passport, an idea positively welcomed, receiving many congratulations from the other delegations.

    Tras nuestras exposiciones, pasamos a realizar un taller de cerámica, donde tanto estudiantes como profesores pudieron elaborar una placa con una letra correspondiente al alfabeto glagolítico. 

        After our presentations, we went to a pottery workshop, where both students and teachers could create a badge with a letter from the Glagolitic script.

    Posteriormente, se formaron los grupos de trabajo internacionales con los que los estudiantes iban a trabajar, y tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerse y empezar a realizar sus aportaciones creativas sobre el ODS 11: Ciudades sostenibles. 

        Subsequently, international working teams were created to work during the mobility, and they had the chance to meet and start and begin working on their creative contributions for SDG 11: Sustainable Cities

        

    Mientras tanto, el profesorado participante en la movilidad aprovechó para reunirse y repasar las actividades realizadas hasta el momento, poner en común las últimas decisiones tomadas a raíz de los cambios sufridos por culpa de la pandemia y avanzar los próximos pasos.

        While the teachers took the opportunity to meet and review the activities performed up to that point, they shared input on decisions made about the changes suffered due to the pandemic and potential next steps.

         

    Tras el almuerzo visitamos el Bračak Castle, un castillo recientemente renovado que suministra energía obtenida de la biomasa a un hospital cercano. Allí aprendimos mucho sobre energías renovables y pudimos comprobar cómo se puede dedicar el patrimonio recuperado y ponerlo al servicio de una ciudad moderna y sostenible.

       Following lunch, we visited Bračak Castle, a recently renovated castle that supplies biomass energy to a nearby hospital. We learned a lot about renewable energies there, and we could realise how cultural heritage can be recovered and put to the service of a modern and sustainable city.

 

Martes día 9 de noviembre:

    El segundo día, las delegaciones de Hungría e Islandia presentaron sus trabajos. Se presentaron algunas ideas muy interesantes como la de construir un parque para niños en Grafarvogur, una isla semi abandonada de Islandia o un estudio sobre el uso de artículos de segunda mano, como la ropa, por parte de Hungría.

        The second day, Hungarian and Icelandic delegations presented their projects. Some very interesting ideas were shared, such as the building of a playground in Grafarvogur, an Icelandic semi-abandoned island. The Hungarian team presented a study about the use of second-hand products, such as clothes.

    Después de esta sesión de trabajo, dimos un paseo por Bedekovcina para admirar el paisaje y respirar aire fresco.

        After this working session, we went for a walk in Bedekovčina to admire the landscape and to get some fresh air.

    Tras el almuerzo, nos trasladamos hasta la Veliki Tabor, un precioso castillo medieval en la cima de una colina, que, además, se encontraba muy cerca de la frontera con Eslovenia. 

    After lunch, we went to Veliki Tabor, a beautiful mediaeval castle on the top of a hill and it was very close to the Slovenian border.

    

Miércoles día 10 de noviembre:

    El miércoles había sido planeada una visita a una planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales, pero desafortunadamente no pudo realizarse debido a la situación epidemiológica en la que se encontraba Croacia en ese momento, sin embargo, sí que pudimos realizar una visita virtual y conocer su historia e importancia gracias a la información que ofrece internet.

    A visit to a wastewater treatment plant had been arranged for Wednesday, but unfortunately, it couldn’t be done due to the epidemic situation suffered in Croatia at that point in time. However, we could do a virtual visit and learn about its history and importance thanks to the information the Internet provides.

        

    Más tarde, pudimos disfrutar de una visita guiada a los lugares más interesantes y emblemáticos de la ciudad de Zagreb, capital de Croacia. Desafortunadamente son visibles aún los estragos del último terremoto en las fachadas e interiores de sus edificios, pero nosotros aprovechamos bien el tiempo libre que nos fue concedido para hacer turismo por sus calles. Sin duda es una ciudad que merece la pena visitar al menos una vez en la vida, pues guarda una gran historia tras sus calles, y si esta se sabe apreciar, sin duda te encantará igual o más que a nosotros.

    Later on, we could enjoy a guided tour to the most interesting and symbolic landscapes of Zagreb, Croatian capital city. Unfortunately, the damage from the last earthquake is still visible on the front of the buildings and interiors, but we were able to take full advantage of the time that was granted to us, to wander the streets. Without any doubt, a city worth visiting once in a lifetime, as it holds great history amongst its streets, a treasure for those who can truly appreciate it. 

    

Jueves día 11 de noviembre:

    Este fue sin duda el día en el que más movimiento tuvimos, tras levantarnos muy temprano procedimos a desplazarnos desde Oroslavje hasta el Memorial Center de Nikola Tesla, donde estudiantes y profesorado recibimos una interesante charla sobre su vida y pudimos ver cómo fue la casa en la que vivió hasta los 7 años, además de algunos de sus experimentos más conocidos y la Iglesia en la que su padre trabajó. 

    This was without any doubt, the busiest day. We got up very early and we went from Oroslavje to Nikola Tesla’s Memorial Centre, where students and teachers received an interesting talk about Tesla’s life, and we could see the house where he lived until he was 7, as well as some of his, more well-known, inventions and the church where his father worked.

    Posteriormente nos trasladamos hasta Zadar, una bella ciudad costera con un gran encanto en la que tuvimos la oportunidad de visitar el Museum of Ancient Glass, donde aprendimos sobre la elaboración de vasijas y todo tipo de menaje. 

    Afterwards, we went to Zadar, a beautiful, charming, coastal city where we had the opportunity to visit the Museum of Ancient Glass. There, we learnt about the elaboration of pots, and all kinds of crockery.

    Después, los estudiantes croatas, divididos en grupos, nos dieron un tour de la ciudad visitando los puntos clave de esta, uno de ellos, el más especial, fue el Órgano del Mar de Zadar, un instrumento gigante que produce música gracias al movimiento de las olas, y que, sin duda alguna, ninguno de nosotros olvidará nunca.

    Then, Croatian students, divided by groups, gave us a tour of the city. We visited the landmarks, one of them was more special: the Sea Organ in Zadar, a giant instrument that produces music due to the movement of the sea waves, and without any doubt, something none of us will ever forget.

    

Viernes día 12 de noviembre:

    Este viernes corresponde al último día completo que tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar en Croacia, donde el alumnado presentó las elaboraciones que realizaron con sus grupos de trabajo internacionales, exponiendo interesantes ideas que nos sorprendieron a todos por su creatividad. 

That Friday was the last  full day we  had the chance to spend in Croatia. It was when the students presented the project's work in their international groups, showing interesting ideas that surprised everyone because of their creativity.

    Tras esto, recogimos las letras del alfabeto glagolítico que habíamos realizado con anterioridad, que los croatas nos entregaron como obsequio y recuerdo de esta experiencia. Además, una parte del alumnado del centro realizó un baile para nosotros, donde pasamos un gran rato en compañía de todos y pudimos reír y compartir entre todos. 

    Following this, we took the letter from the Glagolitic script we had previously done, as a present from the Croatian team and a reminder of this experience and a part of the students from the school made a dance for us, and we all shared a great time and laughed and enjoyed each other.

        

    Como última actividad del día, nos sorprendieron con una comida típica croata, y pudimos disfrutar de un almuerzo todos juntos. Por la tarde aprovechamos el tiempo libre que teníamos para compartir unas últimas experiencias con el resto de integrantes de la movilidad, y por la noche, tras nuestra última cena en el hotel, llegó el momento de despedirnos.

       Last activity of the day was a surprise for all of us, a typical Croatian dish, enjoyed a lunch together. In the afternoon, we made the most of our free time and we shared last experiences with the rest of the mobility participants, and in the evening, after the last dinner in the hotel, it was time to say our farewells.

Sábado día 13 de noviembre:

    Día el que nos tocó decir adiós a nuestra bonita experiencia, la madrugada del sábado nos despedimos del resto de movilidades alojadas en el hotel, para posteriormente desplazarnos al aeropuerto de Zagreb, y tras una breve escala en Viena, llegar a Tenerife. Hogar dulce hogar, pero, ¡qué bonita semana hemos pasado en Croacia!

        It was the day we had to say goodbye to mark the end of our beautiful experience. Early Saturday morning, we said goodbye to the participants hosted in the hotel, and then we went to Zagreb ́ s airport, and after a small stopover in Vienna, we arrived in Tenerife. Home, sweet home, but what a beautiful week we had spent in Croatia!

    Nos sentimos infinitamente agradecidos por haber tenido la oportunidad de vivir una experiencia tan bonita como esta, donde hemos forjado un bonito vínculo que estamos seguros de que perdurara en el tiempo, tanto entre nosotros como entre los integrantes del resto de delegaciones. ¡Hasta la próxima, Erasmus!

       We feel infinitely grateful for having had the opportunity of living such a beautiful experience as this one was. With it, we have forged a nice bond. We know it will last in time, not only among us, but also, with representatives from other delegations. Until next time, Erasmus!
